A Student Tour
We'll take an insider's look at the motor sports industry and how engineering
and science plays a major role in the sport today.
Day 1
Arrive at the host hotel-Hampton Inn in Concord, NC.
We will have a pizza party at the hotel pool patio.

We will travel to NASCAR Speedpark,
an interactive entertainment
facility that bridges the gap between family amusement venues
and the professional NASCAR racing circuit. It's full-throttle fun
from start to finish.
Return to your hotel for the evening.
Day 2
Your guide will join you for another day of fun!!
Arrive at Duke Power's Energy Explorium,
featuring hands-on displays explaining how electricity is produced.
We'll visit the North Carolina Auto Racing
Museum where you will learn the history of auto racing through
displays and vintage race cars.

Next, we'll tour NASCAR Technical Institute,
the new training facility built and maintained by NASCAR. Students attend
this facility to learn
You'll enjoy a delicious NC barbecue lunch at Lancaster's
BBQ. This is where many of the drivers and crews have lunch.
You'll be amazed at the racing memorabilia that is in the restaurant!!

We'll visit the ultimate racing garage-Dale
Earnhardt, Inc. Take a
look at the exhibit area and view the racecars. See the racing
empire that Dale Earnhardt built.
Now, we'll head to Rowan/Cabarrus Community
College to see their motorsports management program. In this
race shop setting,instructors will explain the science of motorsports
and the business and educational aspects of the industry.
Return to the hotel to freshen up for the evening!! Great Fun!! Hot
Dog/Hamburger Cookout at Frank Liske Park.
Then, it's on to Jillian's a totally
unique entertainment complex. This is a virtual indoor amusement park
for teens with 135 games of virtual simulation plus other attractions.
Return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 3

Depart with your guide for Hendrick Motorsports.
This complex
features all the Hendrick race teams including Jeff Gordon. You'll
See an array of famous race cars past and present in their museum. We'll
visit the chassis department and see the engineering that goes Into
building race cars.

Tour Lowes Motor Speedway to see
what it takes to stage a major NASCAR event. You'll hear the history
and see the inner workings of the track. Feel the g-forces as you take
a lap around the 1.5 mile oval. Don't forget your camera as we'll take
a photo in the Winner's Circle.

Visit 600 Racing, the manufacturing
facility where the Legend Cars are built. See the work in progress on
these one-of-a-kind race
cars.
Depart the area and head for home!! Say good-bye to Race City, USA!!
