"Unto These Hills" Outdoor
Drama in Cherokee.
One of the most compelling outdoor dramas, Unto These Hills, tells the tragic
story of how the Cherokee ancestors were forcefully driven out of the Great
Smoky Mountains and marched 1200 miles to Oklahoma.

Evening check-in at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. (The Ramada is an interior corridor property, with an indoor-outdoor pool.)
Day 2
Hot breakfast at the hotel.
Chimney Rock Park A (still) privately owned park encompassing 1000 acres of natural mountain beauty. There are trails to walk on and waterfalls to view.

Guided hike in the Park.
Cookout lunch on The Meadows in the Park.

Afternoon-Lake Lure Guided Boat Tour
Experience firsthand the unique beauty of the lake that National
Geographic called one of the most spectacular in America. Lake Lure Tours will
take you past locations for the blockbuster film: Dirty Dancing---past Snake
lsland---past acres and acres of unsurpassed natural beauty, wildlife, and legends.
Time on the beach and Water Park.
Return to Asheville.
Dinner at the Pisgah View Ranch (family
style and delicious!!)
(Located in the shadow of Mt. Pisgah, the atmosphere is friendly,
casual, and the food is Southern home cooking.)

Day 3
Hot Breakfast at the hotel.
Check out of the hotel.
Travel to Brevard, NC
| Visit to the Cradle of Forestry Today, the Cradle of Forestry in America is a 6500 acre Historic Site within the Pisgah National Forest set aside by Congress to commemorate the beginning of forestry conservation in the US. Outdoor activities include two guided trails which lead you back in time to seven historical buildings, a 1915 Climax logging locomotive and the old sawmill. |

Brevard Music Center for lunch and
concert.
The Brevard Music Center is a seven-week summer music training program and festival
that provides unique opportunities for outstanding musicians to develop their
talents. Depending on the date, a free lunch concert is offered during the festival.
Depart for home.
