Piedmont Craftsmen Gallery
The Gallery was founded in 1963 to provide a forum for the wide appreciation
of fine traditional and contemporary craft. Piedmont Craftsmen represents both
established artists and promising newcomers who have been selected as exhibiting
members through an annual jury process which maintains rigorous standards of
quality in concept and technique. Media represented include clay, fiber, glass,
leather, metal, jewelry, paper, wood furniture, photography and prints. Excellent

Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA)
SECCA is a series of cascading galleries housed in the 1929 English style home
of the late industrialist James G. Hanes. By not maintaining a permanent collection,
SECCA can fill these galleries with several of the Southeast's most impressive
temporary exhibits at once.

Tanglewood Festival of Lights
Visit a winter wonderland of nearly a million lights, and enjoy a holiday dinner
your group will never forget! Plan for plenty of time to stop and shop at the
Holiday Village Gift Shop! It is located at the Red Barn about halfway through
the lights. The gift shop has wonderful crafts and Tanglewood souvenirs that
would make great gifts! While at the barn, don't forget to roast marshmallows
at the giant roaster! November 6th -January 9th.

Delicious Hand-Made Moravian Cookies at Mrs.
Hanes' Hand-Made Moravian Cookies
where Eva Foltz I-lanes is the seventh generation of cookie makers in her family!
The tour begins in the warehouse where supplies are stored and continues to
"Grandma's kitchen," complete with an old wood stove. You will proceed
to the packing room, and then on to the mixing room where you will see a mixer
that can mix up to 1,000 pounds of dough. The most popular area is the special
"glassed-in viewing window" where you will watch the "artists
in aprons" at work. Along the way you will sample all six flavors of the
cookies: Ginger, Sugar, Chocolate, Lemon, Butterscotch, and Black Walnut. These
cookies are made from an old family recipe handed down for generations. Each
cookie is rolled and cut by hand; the flavor is rolled into the cookies Come
Taste and See!

The Inn at Rising Meadow Farm
The peacefulness of country living awaits you at Rising Meadow Farm. Enjoy the
warmth and hospitality of the Inn as the beauty of the surrounding pastures
and gardens envelops you. The center of the Inn itself is a late 1800's North
Carolina farmhouse. Carefully renovated to maintain the charm of that era, it
boasts the original heart pine floors, board walls and well-worn stairs with
a handmade railing. The additions to the house were designed to complement the
original. The front porch, complete with swing and rocking chairs, is a favorite
sitting area to catch a cool breeze on a warm day, while the rear deck offers
a vista of natural serenity. Rising Meadow Farm is 128 acres of fields, meadows,
and woodland, multiple springs and a pond that is stocked for fishing. Birds
and wildlife are very much at home in this natural environment. Vegetables,
flowers and herbs from the gardens are enjoyed at the table in season. Enjoy
a tour of this farm as you ride through the farm by a wagon, weather permitting,
and learn about shearing sheep, wool, lambing, feeding of animals and so much
more! Light refreshments!

The Inn at Rising Meadow Farm plus Lunch
at the Goat Lady Dairy
The Goat Lady Dairy produces a variety of goat cheese which it sells to the
public at local farmers' markets, as well as local restaurants. Enjoy a tour
of this Dairy along with a delicious lunch - example: hot or cold homemade soup,
smoked turkey, green salad, fresh fruit, homemade pickles, tea, homemade cookies
or pie for dessert. A real delight! Also available is a tour of Rising Meadow
Farm plus a tour of the Goat Lady Dairy, including a cheese tasting.

Lazy 5 Ranch
Come feed the animals from around the world - Lazy 5 features 400 exotic animals!
On your 3 ½ mile safari through the gently sloping pasturelands, you
will experience animals from six continents. This is a drive-through experience
unique in North Carolina. There is no other collection of animals like this
in the Southeast.

The Bob Timberlake Gallery
Come home to the world of Bob Timberlake with a visit to the Gallery. The Gallery
showcases Bob Timberlake's original artworks, reproductions and personal memorabilia
as well as his highly popular line of home furnishing, accessories, apparel,
gifts and collectibles.

Seagrove: For People Who Love the Potter's
Craft - Seagrove, NC
The North Carolina Pottery Center showcases the pottery and ceramic arts of
North Carolina. The Center features permanent exhibits of historic pieces of
pottery from the Seagrove region as well as the work of local potters; the Center
also features scheduled demonstrations. Home to 95 potters, you will enjoy visiting
their shops, many of them within walking distance of the Center. Excellent shopping!

In Randolph county, heritage and fun don't stand still! They roam! They roar!
They rumble! One of the nation's finest fully natural habitat zoos, the North
Carolina Zoo is open year-round to visitors from around the world. The flora
