Day 1

Arrive in Winston-Salem, NC!! WELCOME!!

You will go directly to Reynolda House in Reynolda Village, for your lovely private tour-you will enjoy masterpieces of American art displayed in the gracious American home built in 1912-17 by Katharine Smith and Richard Joshua Reynolds, founder of the tobacco manufacturing company.

You will also enjoy the lovely Reynolda Gardens and a stroll through The Village, with lots of specialty shops.

Here, you will meet your JWT tour escort. (Please call Jean Wells from the highway --336 725-1624 --as you get closer to WS so your escort can meet you upon arrival.)

Depart Reynolda House and head toward your comfortable hotel accommodations for check-in and Reception in your honor.

Freshen-up and relax.

Dinner at the Vineyards Restaurant/Entertainment.

Choice of 3 entrees. Delicious!! Enjoy!!

Day 2

After breakfast, head for the NEW Visitor's Center in Old Salem; your JWT escort will check you in.

Enjoy Old Salem, on your own: All the buildings, MESDA (Museum Of Early Southern Decorative Arts), The Toy Museum. St. Philips Complex, the Winkler Bakery, the gift shops!!

Depart Old Salem and head to Mount Airy, home of Andy Griffith. Here, you will meet your Mount Airy step-on guide. You will see an introductory video and visit the Andy Griffith Museum. Your tour upon leaving the center includes Andy Griffith places of interest: Andy's school when he was growing up, his homeplace, the churches he attended, and the Old City Jail.

You will tour the Gertrude Smith House, a lovely Victorian home.

Lunch at Snappy's-enjoy the delicious pork chop sandwich!!
(Lunch is included) Next door to Snappy's is Floyd's Barbershop.


There will be some time for shopping in this quaint and charming
Mount Airy-Mayberry.

Depart for Winston-Salem.

Time to freshen up, relax, and prepare for a lovely dinner in Old Salem at the Salem Tavern.

Depart for the Salem Tavern. A very lovely evening for you!! The Tavern has delicious pumpkin muffins and wonderful Entrees!! The staff is dressed in period costume-enjoy!!

Day 3

After breakfast, it is time to check out and depart W-S, but there is one more stop for you: Mrs. Hanes' Handmade Moravian Cookies-just one word for you to remember: DELICIOUS!!

Depart Mrs. Hanes' Handmade Moravian Cookies; say good-bye to Winston-Salem and your JWT tour escort.

Arrival in Asheville, NC---You will enjoy your buffet lunch at the Deerpark Restaurant on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate. That Afternoon you will have a self-guided audio tour of the Estate, The Gardens, and the Winery.


Late afternoon hotel check in and welcome reception. Your group will be joined by a Step-On Guide/Escort for the evening.

Dinner at the Pisgah View Ranch, a casual setting and family Style dinner. Delicious and fun!!


Day 4

Hot breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed, with your guide, on a tour of Asheville to include, but not limited to: Biltmore Village, The Historic Montford Community: Site of the former Highland (Psychiatric) Hospital, site of where Zelda Fitzgerald, (wife of F. Scott) perished in a fire, the Basilica of Saint Lawrence, the Thomas Wolfe Memorial (drive-by), the Folk Art Center, the Ben Long Fresco at the Chapel of the Prodigal.

Lunch on own in Historic District of Black Mountain.

Depart for Chimney Rock Park.

Visit Chimney Rock Park and enjoy a guided boat tour on Lake Lure.

Cook-out dinner at Chimney Rock Park (weather permitting):
Chargrilled hamburgers, All-American hot dogs, or grilled
Chicken breast, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, assorted cheeses Condiments, a freshly baked dessert, tea and lemonade.

Return to hotel.

Day 5

Hot breakfast at the hotel; check out of the hotel. Time for departure.

Day 2  Welcome to Amsterdam!  Welcome Reception!
Day 3  Amsterdam sightseeing and at leisure.  Start your day with an orientation featuring Mint Tower, Dam Square and Museum Square.  Enjoy the Rijks museum—
a diamond polishing factory. Hop-on-hop-off city sightseeing ticket.  During the flowering season a visit to Keukenhof will be included.  Several million flowering bulbs planted across a 70 acre site will make this a spectacular visit.

Immerse yourself in all things botanical during your visit to the world-famous Floriade Horticultural exhibition.  Held every 10 years, the Floriade is a rare opportunity for you to engage in a global spectacle featuring over 100 exhibitors showcasing their horticultural expertise.  NOT TO BE MISSED!!
Day 5
  Amsterdam-
Apeldoorn-
Groningen Marvel at some of VanGogh’s most famous works with an included visit to the Kroller-Muller Museum.  Visit the Het Loo Palace featuring beautiful formal gardens.
Day 6  Groningen—
at Leisure.  Spend free time  exploring on your own.  Or, you may enjoy a guided bicycle tour of the city!!

Day 7  Groningen-
Volendam-
Amsterdam-A scenic drive through the spectacular Frisian Lake District brings you to Bolsward and Workum.  In Volendam  You will enjoy the art of cheese making and how wooden clogs are made.
Day 8  Bid farewell.
