Hello—I’m Olivia Camden-Mackie, Fiber Artist and partner at the Fiber Company on Trade Street in Winston-Salem, N.C., and have a clothing line under the name, Silk Peacock. I am inviting you to join me on my fourth tour of the Andean Mountains in Ecuador. My tour will be for artists, crafters, and all those who are interested in going to this beautiful country. You will experience spring-like weather, lovely crafts, flowers galore, great food, music, and wonderful warm Ecuadorians who are happy to have us in their country.

We will be flying from Charlotte, N.C., into Quito for the night, and coaching to Cotacachi the following morning. Cotacachi is like stepping back to the 50’s, but there is internet access, cell phones, and I even found a Mocha Latte, not Starbucks---but, it was great!!

This tour will be designed to go to the craft markets where leather goods, alpaca blankets, sweaters, rugs, llama wraps, jewelry, ponchos, and many more crafts can be found at reasonable prices. We will visit woodcraft makers where the Vatican has its statues carved. You will find hand-carved wood furniture, music boxes, and so much more. Leather Street in Cotacachi is where anything that is made of leather can be found. There will be opportunities to visit some museums, a chocolate factory, and a terrific Spa I found and have used for massages, facials, couples’ massage, etc. There is also time for hiking and outdoor activities during free time.

Join us!!
