Battleship North Carolina

You will visit the Battleship North Carolina, one of the most visited sights in North Carolina. A self-guided tour offers a unique opportunity to walk the decks of a living legend.

Henrietta II

Continue the waterfront experience by enjoying lunch aboard the Henrietta II, North Carolina's largest river tour boat. The Captain will offer facts and historical lore as you cruise along the Cape Fear River.

Airlie Gardens

This is Wilmington's Crown Jewel! 67 acres of post-Victorian European-style gardens surround 12 acres of freshwater lakes.
A highlight is the 400-year-old Airlie oak.

Fort Fisher

At the dawn of the Civil War, the Confederacy took control of a neck of land in southern North Carolina near the mouth of the Cape Fear River and constructed what was to become the largest of one of the most important earthwork fortifications in the South. Approximately 10 percent of Fort Fisher remains, along with a restored palisade fence.

Brunswick Town

Poplar Grove Historic Plantation

This is a Manor-style Greek Revival house and peanut plantation on 16 acres with daily guided tours by costumed interpreters. Today the home is a historic museum house, where past and present are promoted through tours, gardens, exhibits, 19th century craft demonstrations, and special events. Also on the grounds is a peanut and agricultural exhibit building, animals, picnic area, playground and restaurant.
